Description

About the roleThis role sits in a small, globally dispersed Trading Technology team based in Bermuda, building and supporting the systems the trading desk relies on every day. Around 70% of your time goes on development in C# and .NET, with the rest spent keeping a close eye on a live, mission critical platform. You will work directly with traders to shape requirements, and when something breaks, you will be the person who fixes it. It is a chance to relocate to Bermuda, work in a firm that has gone all in on AI assisted engineering, and grow into product ownership or team leadership over time.

  • DutiesDesign, build and maintain robust, scalable trading applications in C# and .NET, including WPF front ends.
  • Provide first line production support on a rota, including outside normal hours, diagnosing and resolving urgent issues directly with users.
  • Work closely with Bermuda based traders to gather requirements and turn them into well engineered solutions.
  • Build multithreaded, concurrent applications and work with messaging and event driven systems.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in Hong Kong, Sydney and Vancouver through structured handovers.

  • RequirementsStrong commercial experience in C# and .NET at mid to senior level (strong Java engineers will also be considered).
  • Proven experience with multithreading and concurrency in production systems.
  • Hands on experience supporting a live, mission critical system, including working directly with end users to resolve issues in real time.
  • Solid relational database skills, ideally Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience with Agile delivery, Git, Jira and Confluence.
  • Exposure to messaging, WPF, AWS, Terraform or containers is highly regarded but not essential.
  • Interest in AI first development, with hands on use of tools such as Claude or MCPs a strong advantage.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Willingness to relocate to Bermuda.
