Description

CTG is seeking to fill a Software Engineer II opening for our client in Buffalo, NY.
Location: Buffalo, NY-Local Candidates only
Duration: 12 months
Pay: Hourly and salaried options available. starting at $90,000/yr
W2, no C2C

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Advanced CI/CD Pipeline design and deployment using GITLab, ServiceNow, and Ansible; developing and maintaining multiple application integrations
  • .NET, C#, JavaScript, SQL Server, Oracle, VB, SSIS, and API design, development, documentation, testing, troubleshooting, debugging, deployment and production support of multiple applications
  • Testing and validating controls against Risk, Regulatory and Cybersecurity standards and policies; Linux Red Hat, Windows server builds, use, maintenance, configuration and patching
  • Providing end user technical or functional support and training
  • Presenting to Senior Leadership and various audiences and scoping, planning, refining stories and tasks using Agile methodology.
  • Associate’s degree and minimum 5 years of systems analysis/application development experience, or a combined minimum of 7 years higher education and/or relevant work experience, including a minimum of 5 years in systems analysis or application development
  • Proficiency in .NET, C#, JavaScript, SQL Server, Oracle, VB, SSIS, and API design
  • Experience with GitLab, ServiceNow, and Ansible
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
  • Prior experience presenting to various audiences including senior leadership
  • Agile methodology proficiency and daily JIRA board usage
  • Availability to work off business hours and be on call nights and weekends

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Familiarity with M&T Bank’s application frameworks
  • Deep understanding of Linux Red Hat and Windows Server environments, including configuration, builds, and patching
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage complex projects in team or autonomous settings
  • Proactive and action-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to team responsible for maintaining the M&T Equipment Finance. suite of applications
  • Support and maintain software and web applications using C#, .Net, SQL Server and JavaScript
  • Design and develop new or existing software and web applications and specifies information system solutions with GitLab, Ansible, Artifactory
  • Test, implement, address and resolve end user incidents using ServiceNow
  • Identify, reproduce and correct software defects using MS Visual Studio and MS SQL Server Management Studio
  • Conduct server patching using ServiceNow/Ansible; using SQL for internal database management
  • Using Agile to plan, refine and claim new work stories; update JIRA board daily
  • Mentor and train, lead and monitors other junior technicians
