Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into effective software solutions.
• Design, develop, modify and maintain web-based and client/server applications.
• Develop and maintain application code in accordance with system requirements, technical specifications and software development standards.
• Develop and maintain databases using MySQL, SQL and related database technologies, including database configuration and integration.
• Develop and maintain web applications using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Design, develop, test and deploy software applications across development, testing and production environments.
• Work with AWS and Azure cloud services, including infrastructure, virtual machines, databases, networking and deployment services.
• Configure and manage AWS services, and support cloud-based application environments.
• Work with Azure services.
• Use Git/GitHub for source control, branching, merging and collaborative software development.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps processes.
• Develop and maintain RESTful and SOAP-based web services and integrate applications with external systems.
• Conduct debugging, troubleshooting, impact analysis and technical investigation to identify and resolve application issues.

Key Requirements:

• Demonstrated professional experience in software development and application engineering.
• Strong experience with Web API and MVC.
• Experience with SQL/MySQL databases and database-driven applications.
• Experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure cloud technologies.
• Experience using Git/GitHub and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
• Experience developing, testing and deploying web-based applications.
• Knowledge of RESTful and SOAP web services.
• Strong debugging, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle processes and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with software testing, defect management and application troubleshooting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with developers, testers, designers, product managers and business stakeholders.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience with Apache Tomcat or similar application servers.
• Knowledge of SQL, MongoDB.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as AppDynamics and Splunk.
• Experience with automation and testing tools such as Selenium, UFT, Perfecto or SeeTest.
