THE ROLE & THE TEAM

As a Software Engineer in our central Google Data Platform team, you will play a critical role in helping maintain and optimise our data infrastructure, specifically focusing on improving our Google Cloud Platform setup. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers to ensure our cloud setup is and remains reliable, performant, and cost-effective.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

Work within Zalando’s central data infrastructure team, responsible for mission-critical services across the entire Zalando group, as the subject matter expert
Improve the current deployment and configuration repository
Monitor system health and performance metrics
Work closely with data engineers and other stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide technical support
Collaborate with the team to improve our overall data engineering practices and standards
Participate in the central 24/7 team
