We are looking to expand our team for our enterprise solution in the automotive sector. We are seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer (m/f/d) to take on technical responsibility, stabilize Git/build quality, ensure reliable releases, and lead the team through modernization – thus relieving the team leader of day-to-day operational tasks.

Tasks

• You will take on technical leadership with a strong hands-on component, be responsible for code ownership, provide architectural guidance, and coach your team through pairing.
• Furthermore, you will define, establish, and monitor coding, review, and quality standards across all repositories.
• They manage Git governance and release management, including branch strategies, pull request processes, and CI/CD-based build and release orchestration.
• Your responsibilities also include planning and implementing technical modernization of the systems, designing APIs, implementing Strangler patterns, and advancing the Java and architecture roadmap.
• They ensure quality, safety and observability – from the test pyramid to dependency management, logging, tracing and non-functional requirements.
• They are responsible for incident and problem management at the 3rd-level, conduct root cause analyses, and establish sustainable runbooks and hotfix processes.
• Furthermore, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders and continuously coordinate with product, operations, infrastructure, as well as nearshore and remote teams.
