Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

At Harvey, we believe the developer experience is a force multiplier. As a Software Engineer on our Developer Experience team, you’ll be responsible for building the systems and tools that empower every engineer at Harvey to move and ship faster. You’ll work across the stack and with every team, driving reliability, automation, and simplicity into our developer workflows. We’re looking for engineers who care deeply about craftsmanship, and who are excited to shape the foundation of how software is built at Harvey.
This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use an in-person work model and offer relocation assistance to new employees.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Design, implement, and optimize robust CI/CD pipelines to facilitate reliable, frequent software deployments
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to streamline workflows and reduce friction in the development lifecycle
  • Develop automation tools and processes to significantly improve developer experience and productivity
  • Monitor and manage software releases, ensuring minimal downtime and quick recovery from any disruptions
  • Lead incident management and postmortem processes, conducting root cause analyses to improve system reliability
  • Maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for all release processes and infrastructure systems
