OVERVIEW

We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and a passion for creating innovative solutions. This role involves working collaboratively in an Agile environment, focusing on both front-end and back-end development to enhance our applications and IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software systems that meet the needs of our users.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in web development technologies including JavaScript, React Express, HTML/CSS, and front-end frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud services such as AWS or Azure for application deployment.
  • Familiarity with databases like MySQL or SQL for data management.
  • Knowledge of Linux operating systems for application deployment and management.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies for software development processes.
  • Experience with application development tools such as .NET, VBA, or Quantum engineering is a plus.

    Pay: £30,000.00-£70,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement high-quality software applications using languages such as Ruby on Rails, Java, Python, C#, and C++.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features in a timely manner.
  • Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party APIs to enhance application functionality.
  • Conduct code reviews and maintain version control using GitHub and SVN.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance and user experience.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Ensure the security of applications through RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) practices.
  • Maintain documentation for application development processes and software architecture.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in software development.
