What you'll do The Team Our Engineering & Tech Operations team builds and operates complex solutions for global business challenges that cross cultures, legal jurisdictions, and impacts millions of people and businesses every day. Our Agreement Cloud is a revolutionary solution that changes the way people live, work, and come to agreement. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Manager, IT Integrations. Responsibility Design, develop, and deploy scalable integration solutions and backend services using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and Java/Spring Boot Implement RESTful APIs according to design specifications, ensuring high performance, security, and reusability Build complex data transformations using DataWeave and develop custom connectors or Java logic where native MuleSoft components are insufficient Collaborate with senior engineers and product owners to understand requirements and translate them into clean, efficient code Write comprehensive unit and integration tests (using MUnit and JUnit) to ensure code quality and reliability Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to maintain high engineering standards Support the continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) process, assisting with automated builds and deployments Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, assisting with root cause analysis and bug fixes Maintain technical documentation for APIs, services, and integration flows to ensure knowledge sharing across the team Stay current with MuleSoft features and backend engineering best practices Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation) Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. What you bring Basic Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field 6+ years of professional experience in software development Solid proficiency in Java (or similar object-oriented language) with an understanding of the Spring framework 3+ years of hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Mule 4) and API design (RAML/OAS) Understanding of API-led connectivity and microservices architecture Experience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases (Dynamo db Oracle Database) Familiarity with version control systems (Github SaaS) and standard development workflows Experience with testing frameworks (MUnit, JUnit) Preferred MuleSoft Certified Developer - Level 1 & 2 (Mule 4) Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and serverless technologies (Lambda/Functions) Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes Exposure to messaging systems (JMS, SQS, or Kafka) Experience working with SaaS applications (Salesforce, Workday, Oracle) Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Github SaaS) Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment Familiarity with security protocols such as OAuth2 and JWT Self-starter with the ability to learn new technologies quickly Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a collaborative team environment Life at Docusign Working here Docusign is committed to building trust and making the world more agreeable for our employees, customers and the communities in which we live and work.
