Description
The Opportunity Luma AI operates at the intersection of research and product, backed by over $1.3 billion in funding. We are building the next era of AI with Omni models that can see, hear, and understand. To bring this intelligence to the enterprise, we require infrastructure that is as robust as it is powerful. Where You Come In You will serve as a technical authority for our enterprise backend, designing the systems that guarantee security, privacy, and reliability for our largest customers. This role requires traversing the stack from the database schema to the API contract, ensuring our architecture supports massive-scale inference while adhering to strict enterprise standards. What You Will Build Secure Architectures: Design and implement hardened backend systems that manage identity, authentication (SSO/SAML), and granular permissions (RBAC) for high-value clients. API Ecosystem: Architect the API surfaces that power our enterprise offerings, optimizing for developer experience, stability, and speed. Observability & Insight: Build the analytics and reporting pipelines that provide our partners with deep visibility into their usage and model performance. The Profile We Are Looking For Architectural Maturity: You have a track record of designing distributed systems that balance speed of delivery with long-term reliability. Deep Python Expertise: You are a Python expert who understands the internals of the language and can write performant, production-grade code. Enterprise Depth: You have previously built or scaled platforms serving B2B or enterprise customers, specifically dealing with complex authentication and multi-tenancy challenges. Infrastructure Fluency: You are comfortable working with Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure to deploy and manage your own services.
Responsibilities
You will design and implement secure backend systems for enterprise clients, ensuring security, privacy, and reliability. Additionally, you will architect APIs and build analytics pipelines for usage and model performance insights.
