Job Description: Job Tittle - Software Engineer The Purpose of This Role We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our Fidelity Health Benefits Platform (FHB) team within Workplace Investing (WI). As a member of the FHB Product Development team, you will design, develop, and own scalable and resilient enterprise-grade solutions that powers FHB's platform capabilities. Using modern technology stacks and cloud-native architectures, you will build and continuously enhance systems aligning with enterprise software development practices. This role empowers you to contribute across the full development lifecycle while collaborating with multi-functional teams. The Skills that are Key to this role Technical Core Java & Spring Boot: Proficient in building and maintaining RESTful APIs and backend services SQL & PostgreSQL: Skilled in writing queries and performing basic data analysis Cloud Exposure: Basic familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably Azure) CI/CD & DevOps: Experience using Git, Jenkins, and build pipelines Design Patterns: Applies standard design patterns in development Secure Coding: Follows secure coding practices and guidelines Testing: Writes unit tests using JUnit and participates in code reviews Problem Solving: Breaks down tasks and contributes to feature development Communication: Collaborates effectively within the team and with leads The Skills that are Good to Have for this role Exposure to the US healthcare Payor domain is preferred How Your Work Impacts the Organization As a Software Engineer in Product Development at Fidelity Health Technology, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the FHB platform that serves our customers.
