DESCRIPTION

  • Design, develop, and maintain embedded and application-level software for railway systems.
  • Implement software components according to requirements and design specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with EN 50128 / EN 50657 standards for safety-related railway software.
  • Perform software integration, debugging, and verification in lab and on-site environments.
  • Document software design, code, and verification activities for certification.
  • Collaborate with system engineers, safety managers, and V&V teams to ensure traceability and quality.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, methodologies, and tools.
  • Support problem-solving during commissioning and customer acceptance phases.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Software Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in software development for railway.
  • Strong skills in programming languages such as C, C++, or Python.
  • Knowledge of real-time operating systems, communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, MVB, etc.), and embedded targets.
  • Understanding of railway SW standards (EN 50128, EN 50657) or willingness to acquire it.
  • Experience with configuration management, version control, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Git, Jenkins).
  • Proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented with strong teamwork skills.
  • Fluent in German and English.
