THIS IS GOING TO BE YOUR JOB

Do you want to take your career to the next level at a global asset manager? Do you want to help shaping the financial sector of tomorrow with your engineering skills and investment knowledge? Are you cooperative and prepared to roll up your sleeves? Are you thorough and detailed in your work, and not looking to cut corners? Then we are looking for you!

JOB DESCRIPTION

In the role of Software Engineer, you will contribute to the Multi Asset products and services by developing, implementing and maintaining in-house built applications and tools. In that capacity you will cooperate with portfolio managers, traders and researchers, most specifically with those that are involved with quantitative R&D. The level of knowledge of quantitative techniques across the department is high and there is a strong ambition to continuously improve on these from a return, risk and operational efficiency perspective.

Examples of in-house built models that we employ are:

  • Interest rate derivative pricing and exposure management
  • Optimization of cash and collateral balances
  • Relative value modeling for interest rate curves
  • Multi-factor model for running a tactical FX strategy
  • Simulation based model for measurement of counterparty credit risk
  • Risk management modules for steering the currency and interest rate overlays
  • Systematic strategy for limiting market impact of executing equity-baskets

PROFILE

For the Multi Asset teams we are looking for a hands-on team player to strengthen the team. The candidate has:

  • An academic degree in software engineering, computer science or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 3 to 7 years relevant working experience, preferably in the investment industry.
  • Highly experienced in Python, R and C++ (both in PC-based and server-based/Linux environments).
  • Experience with various database management systems (incl. add-ons).
  • Working knowledge of API usage/development and protocols.
  • Comfortable working with (integration of) streaming (timeseries) data.
  • Hands-on expertise in design and implementation of event driven architecture and systems.
  • Basic understanding of front-end development frameworks
  • Significant experience with best practices (Azure DevOps/git, testing, CI/CD and documentation).
  • A curious, multidimensional, creative, pro-active, open minded, independent, pragmatic and digital mindset.
  • A focus on (investment) excellence and cost effectiveness.
  • Excellent command of the English language (both verbally and in writing), while command of the Dutch language is viewed favorably.
