What Are We Looking For? We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, and versatile backend engineer to take over multiple development responsibilities under the Checkmarx One group. We are working with the most cutting-edge technologies, building a new and exciting cloud platform using mainly Golang, gRPC, Redis, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Docker, and more. How Will You Make an Impact? • Develop and maintain backend services based on GO • Design and implement architecture for distributed and complex systems • Write high-quality, well-documented, and performant code • Write test automation to validate your code • Work with relational databases and message queues • Improve performance, reliability, and scalability of existing systems • Work in a Microservices environment • Collaborate with development, DevOps, QA, and product teams • Create and maintain technical documentation Requirements What Is Needed to Succeed? · 3+ years of experience in backend development and infrastructure using GO – MUST. · BSc/MSc in Computer Science / Software Engineering · Proficiency in Golang – Ability to design, develop, and maintain high-quality backend services · Experience with Data persistence and message queues · Micro-services architecture and development · Linux and Docker proficiency; Kubernetes experience is a significant advantage · Primarily a backend role, but familiarity with React or willingness to learn and handle occasional frontend tasks – strong advantage · Ability to take on light DevOps tasks, such as maintaining GitHub Actions workflows or improving internal tools, is highly valued · Strong knowledge of version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines · Excellent collaboration skills, with experience working alongside cross-functional teams (frontend, backend, product, design, etc.) · Problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to analyze problems and propose creative solutions · Ability to manage your time effectively, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously · Good written and verbal communication in Hebrew & English What we have to offer Checkmarx offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, competitive compensation, great work-life balance, as well as great benefits and perks throughout the year.
