Learn more at careers.alight.com Responsibilities Responsible for designing, building, and supporting advanced cloud automation workflows and tools used to support automated CI/CD pipeline application deployments into AWS using GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible, Packer, Vagrant, and Terraform Responsible for designing and implementing enterprise-wide layered cloud image management and deployment optimization system with support for public/private software repositories Design, development, and support of automation modules using Puppet Enterprise integrated with enterprise metadata Adhere to the process and security standards when building application infrastructure in AWS Serve as enforcer for DevOps practices to prevent “technical drift” Maintain key service level agreements Onboarding of new applications into standardized release pipeline Work closely and collaborate with technical peers, business operations and enterprise testing teams Provide guidance and direction to App Dev teams in regard to DevOps processes and technical/pipeline standards Participate in team wide Change Management process as both implementer and verifier ensuring changes are completed efficiently and correctly. Keeper and enforcer of the technical and tools standards Participate in security reviews for application security groups Tier 1 support for release and deployments Ability to merge and check-in code Patching solutions for hot fix scenarios Understanding of application code and build scripts Activities Application specific Terraform development Creation and additions of Security groups, ELBs, ASGs, etc. CI/CD pipeline for infra build and application automation Application specific AMI creation Code deployment hooks and integration Enhancements and upgrades to existing pipelines Use of EC2, RDS, and ECS per standards Performance and availability accountability to the applications in the ART or Service team Support Application related changes, outages and lifecycle Partners with QA and Production app teams in delivery of Applications Refactoring legacy application specific pipelines Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or workforce equivalent Minimum 4 - 5 years’ experience with DevOps practices and automation tooling 5+ years in automation/configuration management (experience with tools like AWS CodeDeploy, AWS Pipeline, AWS CodeCommit, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Ansible ) Strong experience with GIT and/or other version control systems Strong .NET stack experience Strong database experience: SQL (primary), MongoDB, MySQL Experience with Terraform or Cloud Formation scripting Experience with Ansible and Docker Experience with AWS cloud services (ECS, EC2, S3, AMIs, RDS, SQS, SNS, etc.) Experience with Java, Python, .Net scripting Experience with application monitoring platforms, specifically with New Relic and AppDynamics Familiarity with Packer and Vagrant Experience with Microsoft Teams, specifically with integration type efforts Experience with SonarCube Experience with JuniperBooks Experience with Node.js Experience with Angular2+ Disaster recovery and HA implementations Benefits We offer programs and plans for a healthy mind, body, wallet and life because it’s important our benefits care for the whole person.
