Description
We are seeking a motivated Junior Software Engineer to join our Taiwan Payments team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Java, Unix, and Oracle Database, preferably with vendor management and communication skills. As a Software Engineer I at JPMorganChase within the Payments Technology Team, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components to the firm’s state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an entry-level member of a software engineering team, you execute basic software solutions through the design, development, and troubleshooting of a single technical area within a business function, while gaining skills and experience to grow within your role. Job responsibilities Provide technical support for Taiwan payments business operations, ensuring smooth and reliable service. Support and maintain Taiwan local applications, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Participate in application rebuild in new Data Center. Manage and follow up on incidents and problems related to Global, Regional Applications and Local Vendor Applications. Coordinate with vendors for issue resolution, service improvement, and ongoing support. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of solutions and enhancements. Document technical procedures, incident reports, and support activities. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills 2 years of hands-on experience with Java and Unix environments. Experience with Oracle Database and SQL. Preferably experience in vendor management. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Good command of English, both written and spoken. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Strong sense of responsibility and ownership. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes. Experience in the payments or financial services industry is a plus.
