Software Engineer I - EMEA Engineering Services Why We Have This Role The Engineering Services (ES) organization is distributed across 4 locations - Seattle, Provo Utah, Mexico City and Dublin. We are tasked with solving the last mile integration and feature challenges that some of our most strategic and critical customers encounter while designing their Qualtrics XM program. Our EMEA Engineering Services team is located in Dublin and supports the business by building custom software that complements or enhances our platform capabilities, often incubating repeat patterns of requests into new platform features. We support the business and our customers with custom software needs in the EMEA and APJ regions. How You’ll Find Success You take full ownership of complex systems from design to deployment, delivering reliable, scalable solutions. You write clean, well-tested code and champion quality across the team. You actively share your knowledge to level up peers. How You’ll Grow Rapidly gain development experience in a close knit team that will accelerate your career and confidence to the next level. Gain experience maintaining and operating as a full stack developer on a wide variety of projects involving API development, ETL, Databases and UI. Deepen your expertise in multi-language codebases (Python, Java, TypeScript). Expand your impact by contributing to reliability, security, automation, and operational excellence initiatives. Things You’ll Do Work directly with customers and project managers to deliver bespoke software solutions. Your role will involve clarifying requirements, delivering design documents, building the solution and getting sign off from the customer and finally delivering hand off to your team for operations and maintenance support. Contribute to new features and enhancements to existing projects that your team is incubating towards a broader production release. Participate in team level code reviews, operational excellence and security remediation to ensure the highest quality of delivery. Participate in a 12x7 on-call operations rotation, organization wide design reviews and root cause analysis. What We’re Looking For On Your Resume Strong software development skills with some production experience preferable. The ability to design scalable, low-latency, distributed systems. Experience working in a software development team. Familiarity with cloud-native infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
