Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO AT JAMF:

At Jamf, we empower people to be their best selves and do their best work. You will join Empire team that contributes to development of iOS and macOS versions of the Jamf Trust app. Your responsibilities will include writing code covered with unit tests, doing code-reviews and creating or commenting on technical designs for new features.
The team focuses on developing and maintaining network stack configuration, reachability checking, packet classification, VPN and network configuration profiles, as well as handling XPC communication and general networking functionality. Writing clean code is part of our philosophy and we use unit tests to back us up when we refactor our codebase. We also prioritize staying up to date with all the Appleness, to leverage the latest tools and best practices in our development process.
Collaboration is at the heart of how we operate—we approach challenges as a collective, brainstorming and problem-solving together, with the team attending the office most days to foster close collaboration. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO IN THIS ROLE:

  • Break down customer problems into work you and the team can execute on.
  • Independently complete a majority of identified tasks from start to finish with high quality.
  • Use your knowledge of Engineering best practices to ask the right questions, solve problems and build great software.
  • Clearly communicate technical concepts with others in the organization (Technical Communication, Support, Product and Cloud). When you don’t know the solution, seek out the appropriate people in the organization for advice.
