As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for: * Designing, developing, testing and deploying highly scalable and secure software for Network Configuration and Monitoring * Collaborating with various Akamai teams * Learning about our distributed systems, products, and the technical stack as necessary for your role Do what you love To be successful in this role you will: * Have a solid background in Python programming (with REST API and SQL) * Have a good knowledge about L2/L3 Computer Networks (CDN and Carrier peering) * Possess knowledge of frontend technologies like JavaScript with React * Have a familiarity with Linux environment and internals * Have experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Docker * Communicate effectively in English, both spoken and written Work in a way that works for you We recognize that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best can vary for each person.
