Description

Contribute to the design, development, and improvement of features for Azure Database for PostgreSQL. * Develop proprietary and open source PostgreSQL extensions and tools. * Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that enhance scalability, performance, and reliability. * Take ownership of challenging technical problems and drive them to resolution. * Perform thorough performance analysis, optimization, and troubleshooting to ensure a seamless user experience. * Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in distributed databases and cloud technologies, bringing fresh insights to the team. * Engage with customers and the open-source community to understand their needs and incorporate valuable feedback into the product. Required/Minimum Qualifications *Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and significant of software engineering experience with proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent practical experience. * Comprehensive technical fundamentals in distributed systems, concurrency, cloud-native architectures, or database internals. *Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and system design principles that influence code quality, performance, and reliability. Preferred Qualifications *Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, and familiarity with open-source communities. * Adaptability in fast paced environment, great collaboration and team-player skills * Collaborating with numerous stakeholders simultaneously across organizational boundaries * Passion for building outstanding developer experiences and empathy for developer workflows.
