Job summary As a Software Engineer II at JP Morgan Chase within the Corporate Technology Team, you design and deliver trusted technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You work as an emerging member of an agile team, gaining valuable experience while supporting the firm’s business objectives. Job responsibilities Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting for technology products and systems Writes secure and high-quality code using at least one programming language Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems Implements and manages AWS infrastructure to support scalable and reliable applications Monitors system performance and troubleshoots issues using observability tools Gathers, analyzes, and draws conclusions from large, diverse data sets to drive secure, stable application development Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability Experience with AWS infrastructure and services Experience in DevOps roles focused on infrastructure upgrades, cost analysis, and real-time monitoring Proficient in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Spinnaker, or Terraform Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern programming languages Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Bash Exposure to cloud technologies Exposure to relational databases, preferably Oracle, and understanding of SQL/PL-SQL code
