Job Details Position Title: Software Engineer II Career Level: P2 Job Category: Sr Associate Role Type: Hybrid Job Location: Bangalore About the Team: Our team is part of DevSecOps Center of Excellence, responsible for enabling engineering team with reliable CI/CD platforms, infrastructure automation and site reliability best practices. While we support DevSecOps enablement through automation and CI/CD pipeline tooling, our core focus lies in observability, incident response, service availability and operational excellence. We partner with development, security and infrastructure teams to drive continuous improvement and resilience across the entire software delivery lifecycle. Impact (Job Summary/Why this Role Matters) This role plays a vital role in ensuring the stability and efficiency of our engineering platforms. Your contribution will support uptime, release velocity and developer productivity across the organization. By automating workflows, managing infrastructure as code and participating in incident response and root cause analysis, you will be directly improving business continuity and customer satisfaction. Key Deliverables (Duties and Responsibilities) Develop maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI etc Contribute to infrastructure automation using infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform, Ansible or similar Support system reliability through monitoring, alerting, logging and proactive performance tuning Assist in managing and upgrading DevSecOps toolsets such as JIRA, Confluence, Nexus and GitLab Participate in Incident response, postmortems, and root cause analysis to improve system resilience Maintain and update runbooks, knowledge base articles and documentation for operational processes Troubleshoot issues across development, staging and production environment in collaboration with cross-functional teams Ensure security best practices are embedded in pipeline and platform components Participate in platform maintenance activities, patching, and tools upgrade under guidance Provide on-call support during weekends on a rotational basis as per the roster, with guidance from senior engineers Contribute to team discussions, retrospectives, and improvement initiatives with a continuous learning mindset Skills and Qualification (Functional and Technical Skills) Preferred Qualification Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer science, Information Technology or related field 4-7 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE or platform engineering roles Solid Understanding of GitOps and Infrastructure-as-code Experience in production support, incident management and service reliability practices Core Competencies Proficient in CI/CD pipeline development using tools like Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CD or Github actions String scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, Groovy or similar Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible or similar Deep understanding of containerization and orchestration, especially Docker and Kubernetes Experience in implementing observability solutions: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar Familiarity with DevSecOps practices such as automated security scans, policy enforcement and compliance reporting Good Knowledge of version control (e.g., Git) and branching strategies Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across infrastructure, applications and integrations Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive mindset Relationship & Collaboration Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including application developers, QA engineers, platform teams, and security to drive reliable and secure software delivery Partner with Global stake holders to support platform stability, DevSecOps enablement and tool chain adoption Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, providing insights into platform health, risk mitigation and improvement areas Work collaboratively in team contributing to sprint planning, retrospective and continuous delivery goals Take ownership of components or areas of responsibility, ensuring accountability, follow-through and collaborative problem solving Accessibility Needs We are committed to providing an inclusive and accessible hiring process.
