Description
As a Software Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will be involved in the design, development, and testing of software solutions that enhance our aerospace products and services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects that impact the aviation industry. You will work with the team that brings the electronics hardware up and provides the low-level embedded software to the application team in products such as guidance and navigation, satellite payload processing and mission computers. Your work will extend to every product in the entire electronics world of aerospace by joining our Software Center of Excellence Organization. You will report directly to our Sr Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Moca, Puerto Rico location. External hires will work the first 90 days onsite before transitioning to a hybrid schedule - 3 days in the office, 2 days offsite. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Design, development, and testing of software solutions that enhance our aerospace products and services, ensuring alignment with project requirements and timeline.  * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software specifications and enhance system performance.  * Responsible for executing project subtasks in order to meet customer specifications.  * Conducts technical interchange of task level information (system requirements, specifications.) with team members and internal customers.  * Contribute with software documentation, including user manuals, technical specifications, and project reports.   * Ability to code in multiple languages (with object-oriented languages like e.g. C++) * Travel, up to 10%, may be expected.
