Axion BioSystems, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer, reporting to our Software Manager. The primary responsibility of this role is to develop and maintain tools used in the manufacturing and quality assurance process for our suite of life science devices. This role works closely with our Manufacturing and Support teams to ensure they have quality tools that accelerate their workflow. They will work with an experienced team of Software Engineers in design sessions, code reviews, and planning. Job Duties Design and develop software on an agile team Design and write testable, reusable code Provide and receive feedback on design and code reviews Advise/Support internal teams in the use of our software Requirements Required Skills & Abilities Experience using C# professionally, OR demonstrated proficiency with a similar object-oriented language or platform The ability to put the team/product/customer first and focus on what we can do to put the best product out there. We take pride in all aspects of our products and software is but one component. Sometimes the best solution to a problem is in the hardware, or process or documentation. An eagerness to learn new things and develop new skills. This role requires hands-on verification of software behavior and data analysis using our hardware products. You must be able to learn how the hardware works and how our internal users operate. Good communication skills and teamwork The ability to contribute during all phases of the development lifecycle The ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design solutions and plan development work Non-Required, But Nice-to-Have Skills Experience writing Windows desktop applications using WPF Experience with Git, GitHub, Jira and the Microsoft Office suite Experience with Azure, ASP.NET, relational databases, REST APIs and Cloud Technologies in general Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar CI tools Education & Experience Education is less important than solid experience and ability.
