Overview Azure Logic Apps is part of Microsoft Core AI, driving the next generation of AInative, agentic automation across Microsoft’s cloud. Our mission is to enable customers to build intelligent, adaptive agentic solutions by expanding Logic Apps from a leading enterprise integration platform into an AIpowered orchestration and automation engine. We deliver platform capabilities that power realtime, reliable, cloudscale workflows, while integrating deeply with AI models, agent loops, reasoning engines, and Core AI services. Logic Apps under Core AI brings together workflow automation, enterprise connectors, and intelligent agent behaviors so customers can build solutions that plan, reason, and act on their behalf. As part of Core AI, as a Software Engineer II you will help evolve Logic Apps to support agentic execution, autonomous task orchestration, AIfirst workflow design, and adaptive business process automation—all powered by modern cloud services. Responsibilities As an engineer on Logic Apps in Core AI, you will: Design and write code, architect components, and build new features that enable AInative and agentic scenarios across the Logic Apps runtime and platform. Implement performance, reliability, and scalability improvements in distributed systems that power billions of workflow and agent actions. Review code, debug deep runtime issues, and deliver highquality fixes across the workflow engine, connectors, scheduling, and AI orchestration pipelines. Work across organizations with partners in Core AI, Azure Connectors, Functions, API Management, Office AI, and other engineering and product teams. Use data and telemetry to drive product and architecture decisions, including how AI agents reason, plan, and execute tasks in customer workflows. Act as a steward of missioncritical products used by hundreds of thousands of customers, continuously improving service reliability and customer satisfaction through datadriven engineering. Operate as part of a modern, agile, impactful engineering team building platform capabilities for both workflow automation and agentic AI experiences. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience. Other Requirements Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience. Experience building and shipping cloudscale distributed systems, workflow engines, or platform services. Experience with AI/LLMbased systems, agent frameworks, or integrating AI into production services. Background designing performant, reliable systems including network protocols, eventdriven architectures, and stateful runtimes. Experience with crossplatform development on Windows, Linux, MacOS, iOS, or Android. Knowledge of workflow automation, connectors, integration platforms, or enterprise cloud services. Passion for building customercentric endtoend experiences, including AIaugmented developer workflows, natural language workflow creation, or agentassisted design. Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
