Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Contributing to the team’s technical roadmap with ideas generated through practical development of the code in their area of expertise
  • Planning and estimating effort for bug fixes and features
  • Developing new features and improvements
  • Addressing performance issues with production code
  • Fixing bugs and refactoring code to improve Flipp internal and open source packages
  • Modularizing and abstracting code to make it more reusable
  • Contributing to the design of software systems and services
  • Estimating large features and projects accurately
  • Breaking down large features into more manageable tasks that can be distributed to multiple members of the team
  • Designing and writing automated unit test cases
  • Designing and writing integration tests
  • Implementing and enforcing industry best practices within their teamTeamwork
  • Mentoring Junior, Intern and Co-op developers, helping them to develop their technical abilities
  • Performing code reviews and providing constructive feedback for other team members
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide timely production support, ensuring system reliability and swiftly resolving critical issues as they arise.
  • Collaborating with project owner and technical leadership of the team to distill requirements for upcoming features
