As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset & Wealth Management, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives. Job responsibilities Develops or enhance products/applications in line with business requirements. Collaborates with internal users in Operations, Client Service, and Front Office Analyzes independently, code, test, and deploy applications/components to satisfy business requirements for large, complex projects. Adheres to firm-wide architecture standards, risk management and security policies. Provides production support coverage Participates in the broader LOB/Firm-wide initiatives. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience Experience in software development using Java and its associated technology stack. Strong expertise in Java (Spring Boot), microservices architecture, and building RESTful APIs. Experienced with messaging platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, and JMS. Proficient in front-end frameworks and technologies, including ReactJS, Angular, ExtJS, and NodeJS. Hands-on exposure to public cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP. Solid background in relational databases, with the ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries. Familiar with test-driven development (TDD) methodologies, including tools like JUnit and Mockito. Skilled in using continuous integration tools such as Maven and Jenkins. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize assignments, and meet tight deadlines. Experience collaborating with globally distributed teams. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Broad understanding of DevOps methodologies, including automation, deployment pipelines, and infrastructure as code, beyond basic CI/CD tool usage. Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, such as system monitoring and log tracing.
