  • Strong technical leadership with a track record of driving measurable impact across the stack. (4-6 years of experience preferred, but not required).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in independent, hands-on coding and problem-solving, including handling complex edge cases, optimizing for efficiency, and delivering robust solutions within time constraints.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for an engineer to join one of our core product teams. Each role is pivotal in shaping our technical direction, driving significant architectural improvements, and delivering measurable impact. Cedar is committed to a flexible work environment, and these roles are remote-friendly.

  • Payments Differentiation Squad: As a member of this squad, you’ll drive innovation and advance patient affordability by experimenting with and launching ML-powered payment features in collaboration with our AI and data science teams. You’ll also work on enhancing our checkout flow, which processes billions of dollars in payments annually, and will mentor peer engineers to take ownership of their own projects.
  • Clarity Squad: This team is focused on improving healthcare bill transparency, helping patients better understand and manage their finances. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of new full-stack features. You’ll collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to translate requirements into technical specifications and coordinate development efforts to deliver robust, production-ready software.
  • Payment Workflows Squad: This team aims to help patients feel supported in their healthcare payment journey by offering affordable, flexible, and transparent payment experiences. You will lead the design and implementation of new end-to-end, full-stack features. You’ll also work to improve the speed and reliability of our existing applications and uphold code quality standards through thoughtful PR reviews.
