SUMMARY: As the ANTYQ-23A System Test Support Engineer, you will provide technical expertise during development and fielding of new capabilities to include hardware/software development, installation, analysis, testing, and evaluation, modification of hardware, and programming of electronic devices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Support Program Management Reviews (PMR), Product Improvement Working Group (PIWG), Technical Interchange Meetings (TIM), Staff Assistance Visits (SAV), and Unit Compliance Inspections (UCI) providing technical and/or engineering support, as requested.
- Provide subject matter expertise to determine software configuration and maintenance plans.
- Evaluate software, including, but not limited to, applications, file/data base management, input/output, storage, security, and data communications/distributed data base applications, detailed systems design, programming and testing for operating systems and executive level software.
- Provide technical expertise during development and fielding of new capabilities to include hardware/software development, installation, analysis, testing, and evaluation, modification of hardware, and programming of electronic devices.
- Write and review Software Trouble Reports (STRs), Software Problem Reports (SPRs), Softwarediscrepancy Reports (SDRs) and Test Problem Reports (TPRs), After Action Reports(AAR) and provide recommendations regarding impacts of problems discovered and potential workarounds.
- Familiarity IA Controls, back up and restoration operations for UNIX and Linux operating system using commercial off the shelf products (COTS). Able to execute a manual restoration process or scripted implementation for both backup and recovery operations.
- Review proposed improvements and modifications from field units, depot maintenance personnel, and contractors/vendors for feasibility and provide feedback to IPT.
- Prepare and review field test plans and assist test managers in the execution of software tests.
- Prepare (program) firmware devices to support software upgrades, to include erasing, programming, verifying, and marking programmable devices.

AN/TPK-1 Non-Organic Radar Access (NORA) ? Theater Deployable Communications (TDC)
- Understand the integration and configuration of the data link with JM, ADSI and JRE/JTEP and the CRC system. Configure the TDL-A, TDL-B, JREAP A, JREAP B, and JREAP C interfaces with the CRC Equipment.
- Expeditionary Long Range Radar (3DELRR), Mode 5/Mode S, and technical refresh or modification of all current and future systems in order to be able to integrate and configure current with future designs.
- Troubleshoot/maintain IFF/SIF transmitter, receivers, de-fruiters, timing systems, and integration into Radar systems
