Position Overview : You will be responsible for resolving and correcting the Tracelink product. You will also be responsible for creating patches to resolve customer issues for TraceLink products. Responsibilities : Design, implement, and maintain scalable and highly available software solutions within a distributed, cloud-based architecture. Collaborate across Engineering, QA, and Customer Support to address complex customer issues and implement effective, maintainable fixes. Take ownership of moderately complex features or components and deliver them with minimal supervision. Work with technical leads to analyze and decompose epics into deliverable stories, including estimation and dependency analysis. Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions, understanding the broader technical ecosystem. Implement best practices in software development, including code reviews, unit testing, and CI/CD integration. Create and maintain thorough documentation to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing. Continuously seek to improve code quality, performance, and the developer experience through research, experimentation, and tool selection. Engage with Agile development processes including sprint planning, retrospectives, and cross-functional collaboration. Assist in mentoring junior developers and provide technical guidance when needed. Required Skills and Qualifications : 5–8 years of professional software development experience Strong proficiency in Java and Javascript; Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and web services Proven ability to design and implement features in a distributed, cloud-based architecture (AWS preferred) Solid understanding of software development best practices: version control (Gitlab), unit testing, code reviews, defect tracking Strong problem-solving and diagnostics skills Ability to effectively communicate technical ideas and collaborate across teams Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Preferred Skills and Qualifications : Experience with Scala or other functional programming languages Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban Familiarity with distributed systems, NoSQL databases, or Big Data tools Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, supply chain, or enterprise software is a plus Experience integrating third-party services and APIs Exposure to the Lift web framework or similar Scala-based frameworks Please see the Tracelink Privacy Policy for more information on how Tracelink processes your personal information during the recruitment process and, if applicable based on your location, how you can exercise your privacy rights.
