We are currently looking for a QA Engineer who is passionate about quality, automation, and delivering robust digital solutions. In this role, you’ll be a key contributor to designing, implementing, and maintaining high-quality testing strategies for our customer-facing mobile and web applications. You’ll join a department of about 50 colleagues, including software engineers, mobile app developers, platform engineers, and designers, all working together to create the best possible experiences for our users.

We are looking for someone who thrives on ensuring quality, loves solving technical challenges, and has a keen eye for detail.
As part of our Digital & Technology department, you will help secure the delivery of high-quality digital products. This includes implementing test automation, performing exploratory and regression testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues early in the development cycle. Balancing rapid delivery with long-term maintainability and performance is central to how we build quality into our products.
We’re looking for curious, self-driven individuals who stay ahead of testing trends and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. We value openness, collaboration, and learning from one another – and we welcome your insights, feedback, and unique experience.
We are looking for proactive candidates with a strong quality mindset who can balance technical, business, and customer perspectives. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of Coop’s digital products and contribute to one of Norway’s most beloved retail organizations.

We think you could be a great fit if you:

• Have 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer or Test Automation Engineer
• Have experience with automated testing tools like Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or similar
• Are confident in writing test scripts in languages like JavaScript, Python, or similar
• Have experience with mobile app testing (iOS and Android), preferably with tools like Appium or Detox
• Are familiar with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests (e.g. GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
• Understand universal design, accessibility, and usability principles
• Are both self-driven and a team player with strong analytical skills
• Communicate well in English (Norwegian is a plus)
• Hold a relevant higher education in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
