Thales Singapore Engineering Competence Centre (ECC) is a well-established R&D and engineering centre serving major customers worldwide in Digital Identity and Security domains ranging from mobile connectivity, IoT, banking & payment to government solutions.
As a Software Engineer Intern, you will be participating with a team of more than 80 people that develop, validate and deploy new software components (like advance software security mechanism and next generation IoT connectivity protocols), for embedded operating systems targeted for mobile, IoT devices and Automotive, in applications such as mobile payment, digital identity, IoT connectivity and connected cars.
In your assignment, you may work on your own design and innovation project or contribute to the design, implementation, validation and deployment of Embedded Products for major OEM customers. In this position, you can expect to learn the ins-and-outs of software development and get hands-on experience of product development and validation.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Basic programming skills in Java and Visual Basic, Python.
  • Basic knowledge on Code Repository (e.g. Mercurial, Git)
  • Experience on Java card applet programming and EMV standard is an advantage
  • Team player with good communication and collaborative skills
  • Good communication skills and fluent in English
Responsibilities
  • Create internal tools and simulators to test the Java Card applications
  • Collaborate with other embedded software engineers to design and develop new software features
  • Contribute to continuous product and development methodology improvement
  • Actively participate in requirements gathering, planning, and daily stand-up meetings
