Thales Engineering Competence Centre (ECC) is a well established R&D and engineering centre serving major customers worldwide in Digital Identity and Security domains ranging from mobile connectivity, IoT, banking & payment to government solutions. As a Software Engineer, you will be participating with a team of more than 80 people that develop, validate and deploy new software components (like advance software security mechanism and next generation IoT connectivity protocols), for embedded operating systems targeted for mobile, IoT devices and Automotive, in applications such as mobile payment, digital identity, IoT connectivity and connected cars. In your assignment, you may work on your own design and innovation project or contribute to the design, implementation, validation and deployment of Embedded Products for major OEM customers. In this position, you can expect to learn the ins-and-outs of software development and get hands-on experience of product development and validation. Responsibilities: Collaborate with other embedded software engineers to design and develop new software features Contribute to continuous product and development methodology improvement Create tools and simulators to test the embedded software Actively participate in requirements gathering, planning, and daily stand-up meetings Requirements: Basic programming skills in C, Java and Visual Basic Basic knowledge on Code Repository (e.g. Mercurial, Git) Experience on microcontroller programming is an edge Team player with good communications and collaborative skills Learning Outcomes: Experience working within the Agile methodology and being part of an interactive Scrum team Understand the full software development life cycle from planning, development, testing to integration Mentored and work with experienced developers, architects and managers, with diversified culture and countries At Thales, we’re committed to fostering a workplace where respect, trust, collaboration, and passion drive everything we do.
