Location: Remote About the Content Platform Team The Content Platform team manages the Content Management System (CMS) that empowers Content, Creative, and Editing teams to create and manage PatientPoint's healthcare content. We handle end-to-end content registration and delivery to Digital Signage Systems across the country, leveraging a cloud native, event-driven, microservices-based architecture. Job Summary We’re looking for a passionate Software Engineer Intern who is eager to learn, grow, and make a real impact on our digital engagement solutions. This fully remote internship offers you the opportunity to work side-by-side with experienced engineers, product managers, and senior developers, gaining hands-on experience across the full software development lifecycle. You'll contribute to designing, building, and optimizing our Content Platform while taking ownership of your work, proposing creative solutions, and bringing fresh perspectives to complex technical challenges. What You’ll Do Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features that enhance our Content Platform capabilities. Develop, test, and deploy scalable services using modern frameworks and cloud technologies. Leverage AI developer assistant tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot in the day-to-day development pipeline. Learn and apply best practices in software engineering, including code reviews, CI/CD, and performance optimization. Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing components for reliability and performance Contribute to architectural discussions and explore emerging technologies that can elevate product performance and developer experience. Solid programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript. Strong CS fundamentals and problem-solving ability such as data structures, algorithms, computer networks, etc. Interest in building distributed systems and event-driven applications. Familiarity with REST APIs, cloud environments, or container-based deployment (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. Willingness to dive into different parts of the development, test automations, performance tests to deployment scripts. Familiarity with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Curiosity, adaptability, and eagerness to learn in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills are important. Demonstrates courage to ask questions and challenge assumptions Bonus: prior internship or project experience in AI, agents, or productivity tools.
