Job Description WHAT YOU’LL DO As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the entire software life cycle—from design, development, testing, and release to ongoing maintenance. You will translate business needs into functional software and build solutions that are scalable, maintainable, and adaptable. WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH You will be part of the Omni Product Discovery team within the Backend Center of Excellence (CoE) at H&M Group. We empower customers with a seamless shopping experience through intuitive and self-guided product discovery available on their own devices, enabling omni-availability both in-store and online. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, UX designers, and business stakeholders to create innovative and scalable solutions. WHO YOU ARE We are looking for candidates with: Skills & Experience: Education: Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology (B.Tech/B.E/MS/MTech) from a premier engineering college. Experience: 3-6 years of experience in Java backend development and related technologies. Backend Development: Strong coding skills in Java and Spring Boot. Testing & Quality: Experience in writing testable and high-quality code using JUnit and Mockito. API Design: Proficiency in RESTful API design and best practices. Microservices & Architecture: Expertise in Microservices and Event-Driven Architecture, along with a solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines. Retail & E-commerce: Experience in customer-facing sites, ideally in retail and e-commerce. Cloud: Azure Enterprise Experience: Background in working with large enterprises and high-volume solutions. Personal Attributes: Passionate about developing customer-centric solutions. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically. Open to collaboration and working in a fast-paced, agile environment. Committed to continuous learning and staying up to date with industry trends.
