Join Nitro's Engineering Team The Engineering Team at Nitro is responsible for building high-performance, scalable solutions that drive our product innovation. We are now looking for a Software Engineer Intern to support our team in developing and optimising software solutions. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our engineers and cross-functional teams to contribute to the design, development, and improvement of key systems. What you’ll do: Assist in developing and optimising cloud-deployed JVM applications primarily written in Scala or Java. Collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to build and improve features. Help debug, test, and ensure the performance of existing software solutions. Contribute to code reviews, ensuring best practices and clean, maintainable code. Support the development of new functionalities based on product requirements. What we’re looking for: Strong interest in bringing product features to life through software engineering. Familiarity with the JVM and an object-oriented programming language such as Java. Knowledge of Scala is desired but not required. A basic knowledge of functional programming concepts Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work well in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment. Familiarity with version control systems (for example: Git).
