KogniTwin is our digital twin platform that helps customers contextualize data, run simulations, and improve operations across complex assets. Its platform is powered by scalable backend services that ingest, model, and serve industrial data at scale. The Opportunity We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help design, scale, and continuously improve the KogniTwin platform. In this role, you will take technical ownership of distributed backend systems, APIs, and data-intensive services, and play a key part in defining backend standards and engineering best practices across teams. What You’ll Do - Build scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines. - Own backend features from design to release and observability. - Drive architecture, reliability, scalability, and performance. - Work closely with Product, Frontend, Data/Platform, and DevOps teams. - Mentor peers and improve backend engineering practices. What You’ll Bring (Must-Have) - 6+ years of experience building backend systems with Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript. (MEAN Stack) - Strong hands-on experience with backend frameworks and API development. - Strong experience in OOP, system design, and service-oriented architecture. - Solid understanding of API design, distributed systems, databases, caching, messaging, and cloud-native architecture. - Hands-on experience with testing, debugging, observability, and CI/CD for backend services. - Hands-on experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, or Elasticsearch. Nice to Have - Experience with microservices, event-driven architecture, or distributed systems. - Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, or AWS. - Experience with security, auth, and resilient production-grade services. - Experience with data platforms, analytics systems, or GenAI/LLM backend capabilities.
