THE ROLE & THE TEAM

As a Software Engineer in the Transport team of the Logistics Technology department, you will contribute to designing and developing systems to support the delivery of millions of items to our customers.
You will be part of one of our cross-located teams in Dortmund/Berlin where you will be joining us to develop a robust and seamless operational transport platform for internal and external partners to manage transports and tours inside the Zalando network.
You will be having a huge impact on the performance and cost-effectiveness of the entire transportation domain at Zalando logistics but it doesn’t end here - together with your team your work will also enable you to continuously grow and learn as a software engineer.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

• Designing, developing, deploying, operating & improving maintainable software solutions that will improve and affect the performance and cost-effectiveness of the entire transport domain at Zalando Logistics
• Help plan the current and future sprints with your input by breaking down new and existing feature requests into manageable stories and tasks.
• Implementing and fully testing new features with the team before deploying them to production using a continuous delivery model
• Communicating with designers, product managers, and stakeholders to build products that improve the processes of our users
• Continuously improving the code base and your skillset as a software engineer, as well as helping your colleagues to do so
