About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated SAP Software Engineer (m/w/d) specializing in Financial Accounting (FI) to join our IT team at our Hagen location. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing, customizing, and optimizing SAP solutions that support our financial processes and digital initiatives. Qualifications

• Completed university degree or vocational training in IT, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent qualification.
• Extensive professional experience in SAP development, particularly with object-oriented ABAP programming.
• Proven expertise in SAP technologies such as SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, OData services, SAP HANA, and SAP S/4HANA.
• Hands-on experience in customizing and maintaining SAP systems, including modules like SAP FI, SAP Fiori, and SAP BW.
• Strong understanding of SAP integration with other IT systems and third-party applications.
• Experience in web services development, especially REST APIs, for internal and external system communication.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA migration and transformation projects is advantageous.
• Analytical mindset with structured problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
• Excellent communication skills, team-oriented attitude, and enthusiasm for emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance SAP FI solutions to meet evolving business requirements and improve financial processes.
• Maintain and optimize existing SAP systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance with quality standards.
• Implement new features and functionalities within SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, and other SAP modules, utilizing the latest technologies such as SAP HANA and OData services.
• Coordinate and execute SAP S/4HANA transformation projects, contributing technical expertise to ensure smooth migration and integration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and other IT specialists, to deliver innovative solutions.
• Ensure seamless integration of SAP systems with other internal and external applications via web services and APIs.
• Participate in system testing, documentation, and user training to facilitate effective adoption of new solutions.
• Stay updated on SAP product developments and industry best practices to continuously improve system architecture and functionalities.
