Software Engineering Manager
Location: Vancouver, British Columbia (Hybrid)
We’re partnered with a leading SaaS FinTech company in Vancouver that’s fundamentally changing how businesses bank. They specialize in creating innovative embedded financial products that allow major banks to offer seamless banking services directly through their clients’ preferred accounting and enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms.
As a market leader in their niche, they’ve secured partnerships with some of the world’s largest financial institutions, including banks with over $3 trillion in assets. They’re looking for a dynamic and passionate Software Engineering Manager to join their high-performance team and contribute to their rapid growth.

QUALIFICATIONS

Key Skills
Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role, managing a team of 4-8 engineers.
A proven track record of delivering complex technical projects and owning product or platform features.
Strong hands-on experience with Java (17+), Spring Framework, and microservices architecture.
Experience with relational (Postgres) and non-relational (MongoDB) databases.
Experience with messaging systems like RabbitMQ or Kafka.
Deep understanding of modern cloud technologies (AWS), containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with product managers, stakeholders, and other cross-functional partners.
A growth mindset with a passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing engineering talent.
Previous experience in FinTech, payments, or with accounting/ERP systems is a strong asset.
