Evaluate and make recommendations that advance Azure infrastructure for AI and other GPU-based workloads. - With guidelines learns to produce extensible and maintainable code. Learns and applies knowledge to optimize, debugs refactor, and reuses code to improve performance and maintainability, effectiveness, and return on investment (ROI). Applies metrics to drive the quality and stability of code, as well as appropriate coding patterns and best practices. - With guidance takes participation in identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platform. - Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) in monitoring system/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions for simple problems, and recommends actions to restore system/product/service by following the playbook. Escalates more complex problems to other DRIs as to status. Responds within Service Level Agreement (SLA) timeframe. Escalates issues to appropriate owners. - Your mission will be to help ensure Azure platform is consistent on performance, can scale on-demand, and engineered to withstand the unparalleled computing demand from the customer workloads. You will help building a test-driven engineering culture to reduce regressions and bugs in production and will set a higher bar for infrastructure quality. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline - Proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience. Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science - OR related technical field AND 1+ year(s) technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, OR Python - OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python - OR equivalent experience. Software Engineering IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $84,200 - $165,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $109,000 - $180,400 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
