MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. * 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree. * Experience in development, testing, and deployment of backend services, APIs. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields. * 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms. * Experience developing accessible technologies. * Experience or interest in working on large-scale distributed systems. * Ability to code in Go or similar language. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Design and scale a mission-critical backend orchestration system written entirely in Go, ensuring the reliable delivery of networking infrastructure at Google scale. * Architect and evolve APIs and distributed dataflow systems, specifically addressing the issues of managing long-running asynchronous workflows. * Optimize data synchronization within directed acyclic graphs (DAGs) to support the end-to-end delivery of various networking products. * Collaborate directly with internal engineering partners to gather requirements, provide technical leadership on system integrations, and improve the developer experience.
