Accountabilities: Architect, build, test, and maintain scalable systems using NodeJs, TypeScript, NestJS, and NextJS. Lead development of high-quality software products, including personal finance scenario builders and tax calculators. Manage complex integrations to ensure seamless user experiences and accurate financial reporting. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to shape product strategy and technical architecture. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, promoting best practices in system design and development. Ensure the delivery of robust, secure, and maintainable systems that meet stringent correctness requirements. Strong experience in building, deploying, and scaling modern serverless or container-based systems. Proficiency with NodeJs and TypeScript; familiarity with NestJS, NextJS, Terraform, CloudFormation, Postgres, and Redshift is preferred. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and take ownership of projects from concept to production. Strong problem-solving skills and technical creativity to design elegant solutions under constraints. Good product sense, with the ability to weigh trade-offs and propose effective solutions. Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with distributed teams. Bonus: experience in fintech or personal finance applications, and knowledge of cloud-based architecture. Competitive salary: $165,000–$220,000, determined by role, experience, and location.
