JOB DESCRIPTION

Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software
solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. May work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements. May maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
The annual base salary range for this role is $152,000-$175,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• High-level proficiency in R and/or SQL for data manipulation, extraction, and transformation tasks
• Experience with developing and implementing data pipelines, utilizing ETL platforms and languages such as Databricks, Python, Spark, Scala, JavaScript/JSON, PL-SQL
• Hands-on experience maintaining and optimizing data pipelines and automation efforts

Education:

• 10+ years of directly related experience and M.A./M.S.

• Experience working in Advana
• Experience extracting text from PDF and word docs, using packages such as pymuPDF, PyPDF2, or PDFMine
• Experience with cloud data structures such as AWS S3, delta and external tables.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality results with little direction/oversight
• Experience working in cross-functional teams and communicating technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
