The role:
You will be based in our Sheffield office as a Software Engineer in one of our WorldShare Management Services development teams, contributing to the delivery of key strategic projects as part of the development of our WorldShare platform. Working with other developers, testers, UI/UX designers and architects, you will have the opportunity to collaborate across a global technology division of more than 300 employees.

Who we are looking for:

Essential:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• Programming experience using Java, JavaScript and SQL
• Experience developing web-based applications and web services
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
• Interest in and ability to learn coding languages, tools and methods as required
• Willingness to participate in a team with a strong learning culture

Desirable:

• Experience of modern web application libraries and frameworks (e.g. React, MUI, Spring Framework)
• Knowledge or interest in the principles of library science, information science, or information retrieval
