An international automotive parts manufacturing in the northern Dayton, Ohio area is currently seeking a full-time Software Engineer (Oracle / SQL) . The ideal candidate has 3-4 years’ work experience in software development and support, preferably within the manufacturing industry.

SOFTWARE ENGINEER (ORACLE / SQL) REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 3-4 years’ software support and development experience. Specific familiarity with VB.NET / ASP.NET, Oracle ERP, and PL/SQL is strongly preferred
• Strong communication skills and customer service / client relations ability
• Flexibility and willingness to collaborate in a multicultural environment
• Organizational and time management skills
• While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. • Analysis of software systems and processes in VB.NET to determine weaknesses and issues, potential improvements, application updates, etc.
• Support for technical issues on the end user level, and documentation of actions taken
• Prepare system function / KPIs collections and data collection reports
• Plan and implement system updates, as well as department projects and upgrades
• Basic technical support for company ERP system(s), network and server administration, hardware support, etc. as needed
• Other duties as assigned
