Description

Our Engineering team is looking for a passionate, pragmatic and conscientious software engineer to join their ranks. The team is responsible for the continued development and support for a multitude of supply chain solutions.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE EXPOSURE TO ALL OF THE FOLLOWING SKILLS

  • Front-end development using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, with a focus on React.js (and preferably TypeScript).
  • Building, consuming and maintaining C# APIs within the .NET Core or .NET Framework ecosystem.
  • Working with SQL databases to design, optimize, and manage data storage.
  • Source control management using Azure DevOps, Git, or an equivalent version-control system.
  • A proven track record in maintaining and upgrading existing, well-established products.
  • A proven track record of delivering complex solutions to tight deadlines.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE COULD HAVE EXPOSURE TO SOME OF THE FOLLOWING SKILLS

  • Experience deploying and managing applications on Microsoft Azure, including App Services and other cloud services.
  • Previous involvement in supply chain management solutions, or equivalent business logic and process management experience.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, ideally using Azure DevOps or similar tooling.
  • Exposure to design patterns, SOLID principles, and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and maintainable software solutions - balancing technical and business requirements.
  • Working throughout our software processes, design through to deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and technical requirements.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in software development.
  • Contribute to code reviews, architecture discussions, and team learning sessions.
  • Implement security and data protection best practices.
  • Ensure Orderly balances profit and purpose, focusing on our sustainability mission.
