Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer with expertise in Python and C++ for embedded software systems. This position will be located in Arlington, Virginia. QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE SOFTWARE ENGINEER INCLUDE:

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in software design, development, testing, and process management
  • Proficient in C++ and Python
  • Experience with embedded systems and DoD/military projects
  • Strong grasp of agile methodologies and project management
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Willing to travel up to 25% for mission-critical work
  • Customer-focused, collaborative, and team-oriented
  • Background in software auditing and management, with emphasis on oversight
  • Familiar with change control and software engineering design
  • Objective and detail-oriented in software assessments
Responsibilities
  • Participate in change control boards to manage software updates.
  • Evaluate and implement software design changes with consideration for hardware impact.
  • Conduct software audits and ensure compliance with contractors.
  • Qualify and deploy updated software in line with engineering and quality standards.
  • Oversee audit processes to ensure all changes meet requirements.
  • Contribute to regular meetings on process improvements.
  • Maintain objectivity in software assessments and audits.
  • Ensure quality testing aligns with engineering principles and project goals.
