Pixelgen Technologies is pioneering the next generation of protein interactomics with our innovative Proxiome products. We're building a new software team to develop an end-to-end cloud analysis platform that will empower researchers to unlock deeper biological insights from our data. This platform will serve as the engine that turns our raw spatial data into actionable science, enabling researchers to map complex cellular networks, understand how diseases progress at a molecular level, and accelerate the development of new therapies.

We're looking for a Software Engineer to join this effort at any stage of your career. Seniority and responsibilities will be tailored to your experience and background.

Key Responsibilities

The scope of this role will scale with your experience, but will generally include:

• Design and implement features for our cloud analysis platform, working closely with the team to ensure high performance and a seamless user experience.
• Produce clear, well-structured code, participating in peer reviews and pair programming to continuously elevate team standards.
• Collaborate directly with computational biologists and other stakeholders to translate complex biological challenges into clean, scalable software.
• Develop and maintain robust cloud infrastructure to support internal analysis workflows.

Requirements:

We're looking for candidates who meet the following core criteria, with depth of experience determining the final level:

• Professional software development experience.
• Experience building full-stack applications with Python backends and modern frontend development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and relevant frameworks).
• Familiarity with modern engineering and deployment practices, including working in Linux/containerized environments, version control, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• A thoughtful problem-solver and collaborative communicator who works well both independently and as part of a team.

The ideal candidate will also tick one or more of the following:

• Track record building user-friendly UIs
• Experience working with data-intensive systems
• Knowledge of bioinformatics analysis workflows, especially in the single-cell and/or proteomics fields
• Experience building AI/ML systems aimed at extracting actionable insights from complex datasets
