Description

Purpose of role You will be responsible for designing, building, maintaining, and supporting our next generation platforms. This is a backend, hands-on role that will be developing new features for our customers which meet the needs of our business. Your role will involve building with best practices Impact you will make in this role: You will be responsible for solutioning, developing, deploying and supporting the Medion suite. We embrace creativity and experimentation and aim to deliver solutions frequently to our customers that we can learn and iterate on. Qualifications and Experience • PHP (strong experience required) • MySQL with strong query optimization (and schema design skills – bonus) • Framework experience: Laravel and Symfony • AWS cloud experience is preferred; familiarity with services such as CloudFront, DynamoDB, ElaticCache, RDS, WAF, NLB is highly beneficial • Strong experience with Docker; Kubernetes (K8s) experience is a bonus • Familiarity with caching strategies, message queues, and distributed systems is advantageous • Ability to work independently and quickly learn new skills and concepts. • You are a person who continually self learns and improves your technical skillsets • Are curious, tenacious, creative • University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
