We are currently recruiting for an experienced Software Engineer with strong Python development experience to join a major financial services organisation in Dublin.

This is a long-term contract opportunity working on full software development lifecycle projects, from initial design and development through to implementation and ongoing enhancement.The successful candidate will have experience developing complex applications within a financial services or investment banking environment.

• Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop and maintain software solutions using Python
• Taking ownership of projects across the full software development lifecycle
• Developing and maintaining robust, scalable software solutions
• Work closely with other Software Engineers, technical teams and stakeholders
• Develop clean, scalable and maintainable code
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle
• Work within an Agile development environment

• Requirements5+ years of commercial software development experience
• Strong hands-on Python development experience
• Good understanding of software development principles and best practices
• Experience working with APIs, databases and application integrations
• Experience with version control, ideally Git
• Comfortable working within Agile/DevOps environments
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Financial services experience would be beneficial but is not essential
